Workwear and PPE supplier Beeswift acquired UK-based circular workwear specialist Plan B International in December, the company has confirmed.
The deal brings Plan B – a developer of recyclable and remanufactured garments – into the Beeswift group following several years of collaboration between the two companies, most notably on Beeswift’s Envirowear range. Beeswift said the acquisition strengthens its position in the growing market for circular and low-impact workwear solutions.
Plan B has focused on circular garment design and closed-loop systems, working with partners including Project Reclaim, an initiative delivered with The Salvation Army Trading Company. Under the programme, used workwear is collected and remanufactured, helping reduce textile waste in a sector traditionally associated with high disposal rates.
As part of the transaction, Plan B will form the core of a newly created division, Beeswift Circular Solutions (BCS), which will oversee the group’s longer-term strategy around circularity and sustainable product innovation. The unit will be led by Andy Moulding, one of Plan B’s original founders, who will remain with the business.
Beeswift CEO Darren Washbourne said the acquisition would allow the company to integrate Plan B’s design expertise more closely into its wider product portfolio as customer and regulatory pressure around sustainability increases.
The creation of BCS marks the second new division launched by the company following the introduction of Beeswift Vending Solutions in 2025. Beeswift said the moves reflect continued investment in scalable solutions to support customers’ evolving sustainability requirements.
