Distributor Antalis has named a new Managing Director for its UK & Ireland business to succeed the retiring David Hunter.
Hunter is due to retire next month after 11 years at the helm. Succeeding him is Nick Thompson, currently the company’s Packaging Director, who has been with Antalis for the past nine years. He will become Deputy Managing Director for a short period before taking on the top job when Hunter officially retires.
“I intend to lead Antalis through the next phase of evolution, including strengthening its Papers division and accelerating the growth in Packaging and Visual Communications,” stated Thompson.
He added: “Understanding the many challenges that our customers face is imperative. We will be building on all the good work that has taken place recently, including the development of Antalis’ sustainability strategy and environmental solutions that help our customers to achieve their own sustainability goals.
“Other top priorities for the business will be driving digital transformation and maintaining the company’s priority on health, safety and well-being.”
