Pro AV-mounting specialist B-Tech AV Mounts has been acquired by Netherlands-based Neomounts (formerly known as Newstar), known for its wide range of mounting products for AV and IT hardware.
Together, the companies aim to accelerate growth by further strengthening international markets and creating synergies. The newly formed Global Mounts Group is an all-round mounting specialist, with an extensive portfolio and worldwide distribution. Both Neomounts and B-Tech will continue to operate independently under their own brand, identity, and management.
The newly formed Global Mounts Group is being pitched as “an all-round mounting specialist, with an extensive portfolio and worldwide distribution”. Neomounts develops products primarily for the B2B and B2C IT channels, whereas B-Tech’s speciality is in professional AV. Geographically, Neomounts’ focus is on Europe, while B-Tech has built a customer base in EMEA, Asia and, more recently, North America.
“As part of Global Mounts Group, the companies can share each other’s distribution networks and strengthen their global presence,” the press release stated. “Integrated warehouses will help secure availability and optimise logistics. In addition, the combination will gain greater financial strength to meet the further growth ambitions of both companies.
The suppliers also pointed to working together on product development as another benefit of their partnership.
Neomounts Managing Director Dick van Baarlen – who has recently been named as a Director at both B-Tech International and B-Tech AV Mounts – will lead Global Mounts Group as CEO. He underlined that both companies will remain independent as they are operating now within the Global Mounts Group umbrella.
“Neomounts will not integrate B-Tech AV Mounts,” he told Workplace360. “B-Tech AV Mounts is strong and growing in pro-AV and Neomounts is strong and growing in the IT/office channels,” he explained, adding. “These channels ask for a different approach, and it’s important the market understands both [businesses] will continue to operate fully independently [of each other] – their sales channels, assortment, identity and management will continue as they are today.”
The focus will therefore be on “developing, building and growing” each company using their combined financial power.
Van Baarlen also pointed to the fact that Matt Bennett remains a Director of B-Tech AV Mounts and will continue to run this business along with the current management team.
