Safety products supplier Beeswift has named Darren Washbourne as CEO.
The appointment – covering both the UK and Netherlands entities – will be effective from 1 October. Washbourne – who was previously Chief Commercial Officer – has a long association with the business, having been in the safety products industry for over 35 years and formally on the boards of Beeswift Limited and Beeswift BV since 2017.
The company stated: “This appointment represents an exciting time for the organisation, having settled into our new corporate headquarters in Birmingham. We have recently commenced our three-year strategic growth plan, which includes the forthcoming relocation of Beeswift BV in the Netherlands to a new facility, doubling its capacity as we continue to drive growth across Europe.
“Furthermore, Darren will continue to drive the development of new brands within the portfolio, including Envirowear, Flex and Deltic.”
Beeswift’s parent company, private equity firm Gerber Goldschmidt Group, said it remained committed to its long-term support of the supplier.
