Brother UK has launched a first-to-market multifunction printer for the signage and display category.
The new product meets the changing needs of resellers as they move to support businesses wanting to produce high-quality signage and banners themselves. Brother said the product’s features mean customers – including retailers, architects’ practices and schools – can save time and money by not needing to work with external suppliers.
The model is fitted with an automatic cutting tool so that large, photographic-quality banners and posters of up to 2.7 m in length can be produced ad-hoc and cut to a custom size. The inkjet model also offers faster first-page printing times than a colour laser alternative or full-size printing press.
CCO Terry Caulfield said: “Resellers have a key role to play in helping customers drive down margins by boosting productivity and creating new efficiencies across their supply chains. In one versatile machine, resellers can offer businesses the option to create quality signage and displays themselves, on top of day-to-day paperwork tasks.
“This will help retailers no longer need to wait for suppliers to take advantage of sales opportunities, while chain stores can immediately react to signage shared by head office.”
