Independent dealer Paperstone has earned Gold status from social sustainability programme Weaver.
Weaver – formerly So-Go-Eco – helps businesses measure and improve their environmental and social impact across areas such as carbon footprint, waste management, single-use packaging, sustainable products and community responsibility. Paperstone achieved the Gold rating across all categories of the programme.
The dealer said the recognition reflects the work it has been doing behind the scenes over the past two years. Steps it has taken include an internal ‘reduce, re-use and recycle’ programme, promoting sustainable products on its website, and supporting local businesses and charities.
In a LinkedIn post celebrating the achievement, Paperstone said it intends to build on the progress made: “We’re already working on ways to do even better – because there’s always more good to be done.”
According to its website, the Tunbridge Wells-based reseller is aiming to reduce its carbon footprint by 5% every year, plant 5,000 trees annually and become Net Zero by the end of 2050.
