Two UK workplace and educational furniture specialists are joining forces following TC Group’s acquisition of Edit Office Group.
The deal creates what the companies describe as a top-five supplier in the UK and Ireland’s office and educational furniture market, with combined annual sales of £60 million and a workforce of 150.
TC CEO Dan Wooler said the aim was to build on the existing strengths of both businesses rather than overhaul their operations. As a result, the enlarged group will continue to operate through two distinct channels – TC focusing on transactional sales and Edit concentrating on project-led work.
TC said customers would benefit from broader product choice, expanded acoustic expertise and strengthened sourcing capabilities through locally staffed operations in Poland and China. The group will also have showrooms in Clerkenwell, Bristol, Glasgow and Dublin, alongside UK and Ireland-based field sales teams.
The portfolio includes established names such as Titan and Koala Acoustics, with TC noting continued growth across both brands despite challenging market conditions.
The acquisition is TC’s fifth and, according to the company, its most significant to date. A new board structure will include executives from both organisations, with Wooler serving as Group CEO alongside directors covering operations, sales, finance and product development across the UK and Ireland.
TC said it plans to hold an event to mark the transaction and unveil new product ranges. Details will be announced shortly.
