Mark Daisley, Managing Director of Exacompta Clairefontaine’s UK subsidiary ExaClair, has announced his forthcoming retirement.
Daisley has been with the business (formerly Tollit & Harvey) for more than 30 years. He became Managing Director in 2010, two years after Tollit & Harvey had been acquired by the France-based group.
In a letter, he said he had been considering retiring for some time and will do so with the full support of ExaClair Chairman Charles Nusse. He will officially leave the business on 31 January 2024.
Succeeding Daisley is a familiar name in the UK business products channel. It was confirmed that Chris Exner, currently Chief Commercial Officer at Workplace360 sister company OPI, will join ExaClair on 1 December as Daisley’s replacement.
Exner and Daisley will then spend the following two months on transitioning the leadership, enabling the new Managing Director to get to grips with how ExaClair operates.
Prior to joining OPI in 2018, Exner was best known in the industry for more than 16 years spent at Esselte. His roles there included Managing Director UK, VP of Sales Europe and VP of Sales Asia-Pacific.
W360 CEO Steve Hilleard commented: “On behalf of the entire team, I wish Mark the very best as he begins a well-deserved retirement. He will be sorely missed by our industry.
“We also extend our sincere thanks and best wishes to our dear colleague Chris Exner as he prepares to step back into the fray as a vendor. He has made a considerable contribution to OPI, especially during the traumatic COVID period.”
OPI will announce a successor to Exner in due course.
