The BOSS Federation has confirmed that Aidan McDonough has been elected to be its next Chair.
The news of McDonough’s appointment was made following the BOSS AGM at its recent Members’ Day at Stationers’ Hall. He will succeed current Chair Julie Hawley when her two-year tenure comes to an end later this year. McDonough needs no introduction, having spent more than 30 years at Integra Business Solutions. He is set to become Chair of BLOC Group – the merger of Integra and Office Friendly – when it is formed.
“It has been an honour to serve as Chairperson and I am delighted to hand over the reins to Aidan, whose deep understanding of our industry makes him exceptionally well-placed to lead BOSS into the next chapter,” stated Hawley.
There was a good turnout at the Members’ Day on 21 July. Delegates heard from Rebecca Harding, an independent trade economist, on why Uncertainty is the New Certainty and educational consultant Cory Lowde on How to Understand the Next Generation Entering the Workplace.
A panel session on Change as an Opportunity welcomed senior leaders from the industry and was chaired by Hawley. The expert panel comprised:
- Jeanette Caswell, Managing Director, Office Friendly
- Elliot Jacobs, CEO, UOE
- Simon Weavers, Sales Director, The Cheeky Panda
- Liz Stevenson, Strategic Director, ACS
“The keynote speakers created much debate – along with fresh thinking – and our industry panellists shared their real-world experiences of business transformation,” noted Hawley.
