Leading business products group evo has named an experienced retail procurement specialist to succeed Simon McLoughlin as Buying Director.
Taking on the role is John White, who was described as a “significant addition to the leadership team”. White has spent his entire career in purchasing and trading and was most recently Grocery and FMCG Controller at stock market-listed group B&M Retail.
“This appointment will help accelerate our drive into new products and the development of both our branded and own label offers for the benefit of our business/consumer customers, evo and, indeed, our suppliers,” the company said.
CEO Andrew Gale added: “This is a big role and in John we are confident that we have found the right man to take our Buying function forward and build on the excellent work and foundations that Simon has put in place.”
McLoughlin has now left evo. “We thank Simon for his contribution and dedication over the years and wish him every success for the future,” the group stated.
