Staedtler has teamed up with illustrator Johanna Basford and retailer Cass Art to encourage adults to explore their creative side.
The collaboration, launching this month, coincides with the release of Basford’s new adult colouring book Wonderful Wildflowers. It brings together a curated collection of her previous and latest works with a selection of her favourite Staedtler products, available exclusively through Cass Art.
The partnership focuses on promoting creativity as a route to mindfulness and mental wellbeing, encouraging people to step away from screens and engage in analogue, hands-on creativity. Staedtler UK Head of Marketing Rachel Owen said the project supports Basford’s mission “to slow down and engage in the analogue creative process”, describing it as “a mindful and rewarding experience for all.”
Basford, whose books have sold more than 25 million copies worldwide, said the initiative aims to inspire people to “put down their devices and pick up a pencil”. Cass Art CEO Mark Cass added that the collaboration reinforces the retailer’s commitment to promoting the mental health benefits of art.
The launch will also include competitions for fans to win exclusive Staedtler products, signed books and a one-to-one online colouring session with Basford.
